Missions committee

The Missions Committee is tasked as follows:
PLANNING, PROMOTING, BUDGETING FOR and COORDINATING ISSUES THAT RELATE TO MISSIONS FOR CENTRAL BAPTIST BEARDEN.

2010 Committee members include:
Judith Mynatt, Chair, Dean Buchanan, Susan Fendley, Pat Fisher, Stan Johnson, Lora Langlois, Jarett Morgan, Marty Smith, Kyle Stewart

Other thoughts the Missions Committee has had about its work, over the last few years, include:

1. To be the missions conscience of the church.
2. To define/coordinate/manage the missions vision of the church.
3. To guide the church on the missional journey.
4. To educate, encourage and engage the church on mission.
5. To encourage support and involvement in missions through
• Communication
• Education and Promotion
• Direct hands-on, missional involvement
• Budgeting
• Special offerings
• Diverse partnerships
• Support for missionaries and missional initiatives**Our own members are called to be missionaries, too !!
• Do all we can to extend God's kingdom throughout the Knoxville area, Tennessee, the United States and the world
• To articulate what's actually happening
• Better reporting and church wide communication
