CBC ministry in Russia and Moldova has been centered on the Moscow Baptist Theological Seminiary and its students where cbc members dr. jim heizer and dr. ruth heizer served with the international mission board for two two-year terms after retirement from georgetown college teaching.

gifts have been made to the seminary library and to teaching projects.  assistance has been given to ministry projects of graduates of the seminary who now serve across that great land and also in ukraine and moldova.  several of these graduates have been assisted in attending professional seminars in the u.s. and have spoken at cbc services.

the heizers were given aid to return for short-term teaching at the seminary in moscow and in kishinev, moldova.  in moldova cbc has given aid to dr. o.t., a former student of the heizers who now teaches there and makes mission trips to other places in the former ussr, especially muslim regions where his students now live and minister.
